Matthew B. Crawford

Matthew B. Crawford is a New York Times best-selling author of Why We Drive: Toward a Philosophy of the Open Road and Shop Class as Soulcraft: An Inquiry into the Value of Work. He studied physics at the University of California, earned a Ph.D. in political philosophy from the University of Chicago, and is currently a senior fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia. He lives in the Bay Area.
