Bill Waters

Bill Waters began volunteering with LeMay – America’s Car Museum in December of 2014. Since then, he has donated more than 3,000 hours of his time, serving in a variety of roles. Impressively, Bill volunteered an incredible 888 hours in 2018!

He has been a VIP docent, assisted in the training of numerous new docents and has volunteered as a Greeter and Collections Monitor as well as a wide array of special events – often serving as Lead Volunteer. Bill is an exceptional leader and a fantastic role model for the other volunteers. He continuously offers a welcoming smile, an enthusiastic greeting and always sets a good example for all. He even inspired his wife, Cari, and grandson, Billy, to join him and they can often be spotted in the museum volunteering along with one another.

Earlier in his life, Bill served 21 years in the Army and then worked at Boeing for another 21 years. Bill’s long-time dedication and commitment, service, and high standard for excellence, is greatly appreciated and acknowledged.
